Day Six - I won Tour de Japan

Today was good, a day to really see some of the light and beauty of God in Japan.

Today we had church in the park under the tree. At first all I could think was I'm about to die in this Tokyo heat. Then church began under the beautiful tree. Worship had an indescriable atmosphere. Singing God of the City was amazing, Japanese began to watch us and I hope they got a sense of what real worship with the real God is like.

We split up into groups and learned about 2 Corinthians 4:1-11. There were three things we were studying about the scripture: 1. God. 2. Believers. 3. Nonbelievers. God teaches us in this scripture that His light can reach any darkness. We learn as believers that at times we will be pressed, test, and challenged. And in this time, we realize we have tools: each other, the bible, and His light. The nonbelievers will refuse salvation, but we can show them the light.

Being a bike rider, today made my day being able to go for an hour ride in the park. I prayer road and prayed for people in the Japanese park. A Japanese park is a lot like an American park but, the differences can be seen. The atmosphere of the people. The Japanese children...have the greatest smiles a parent coukd as for. They're are so happy...not complaining at all...just enjoying a day in the park. Then they're are the people coming to the park with no hope but yet somehow turn to the park for hope. Drunks a drugies walk around looking for hope, at first it's quite frustrating but then, I realize I know the hope. A lot of us were able to encounter Japanese people in the park, keep praying for even park.

One last thing... I finally had McDonlads today:)
